People’s Parliament held the 18th-day meeting of the 13th regular session on Tuesday.

Parliamentarians enquired about plans to establish a rehabilitation center for persons with disabilities in the upper Myanmar and a modernized sport complex in Thandaunggyi Township and also about cause of delay for some construction projects in Tanse Township in the fiscal year of 2018-2019.

Questions were also raised on arrangements for sufficient water distribution in Yangon and plan to expand Yangon City Development Committee staff member and machinery in the 2019-2020 Fiscal year.

Bill Committee read out its report on the bill amending the Myanmar Medical Council Law. Parliamentarians discussed the proposal urging the Government to ratify International Covenant on Civil Political Rights (ICCPR) – a union level official clarified the proposal and the Parliament sought approval.
