People’s Parliament: Questions Asked, Motions Tabled And Discussed

The 2nd People’s Parliament held the 6th day of 12th regular session on Wednesday. 

During the session, the representatives raised the asterisk questions including upgrading of Myanmar-Thai border trade checkpoint in MawTaung sub Township of Taninthayi Township into a permanent checkpoint from temporary one, upgrading of infrastructures, staff housing, cargo trucks’ parking rest area, warehouses and cargo scales and x-ray machine for Kan Paing Te border checkpoint in WaingMaw Township, Kachin State, arrangements for effective usage of rice bran which is a byproduct of the rice milling process and conditions of old rice bran oil millers and construction of new rice bran oil millers and other  4 questions.

Those questions were replied by the members of union level organizations. Discussions and seeking approval of the parliament regarding with the motion on basic education bill were conducted. The representative of ThanPhyuZayat constituency tabled a motion encouraging union government to appoint local bachelors at the posts of primary teachers for the villages of national races.

The representative of OakTwin constituency put a proposal encouraging the union government to reviews the investment policies for the development of domestic industries and to provide necessary assistances of finance and technologies for the domestic products to penetrate global supply chain.
