People’s Parliament: 13th Day Meeting Of 15th Regular Session Held

The 2nd People’s Parliament held the 13th day meeting of the 15th regular session on Wednesday.

Parliamentarians enquired about plans to upgrade MiShiDiNgawChan creek-crossing bridge in Chipwi Township into a bailey bridge and LawWuChiLar Bridge in Khaung Lan Phu Township into a concrete or bailey bridge and also to give compensation to farmers who lost farmlands due to the projects by Letpandan Township Department of Irrigation.

Questions were also raised on matters including plans to construct irrigation door for summer paddy crop in Bago, Waw and Thanatpin townships and the 30 Mile Green Project in Yangon Region and also to upgrade Zawgyi creek-crossing bridge in Yatsauk Township into a concrete bridge.

The Parliament sought approval for bill amending the Protection of the citizen for the personal freedom and personal security law.

The Parliament announced the receipt of board of tax appeals by-laws and bar council election by-laws submitted by the National Parliament without amendment. Parliamentarians also discussed a report by the Government's Guarantees, Pledges and Undertakings Vetting Committee of the People’s Parliament and the Parliament sought approval for the report.
