Pentagon offer condolences to families of 8 airmen aboard US Osprey that crashed off Japan

The Pentagon spokesperson announced that the search and rescue effort after the crash of an Osprey military aircraft off Japan have "transitioned to a search and recovery efforts" on Tuesday. 

Brigadier General, Patrick Ryder said "Our deepest condolences go out to the families, friends and colleagues of these eight American airmen who are impacted by this tragic mishap and the immeasurable loss of life,"  The Osprey which can operate like a helicopter or a fixed-wing turboprop plane disappeared near the island of Yakushima, sparking an intense search for survivors.
