Pelosi visits energy storage company in Michigan

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and two members of Congress from Michigan toured a start-up energy storage company in suburban Detroit on Wednesday.

The three Democrats visited ONE (Our Next Energy ), as part of an effort to highlight how they say electric vehicle technologies will advance thanks to the recently enacted Inflation Reduction Act.Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House said "And some of what I'm seeing today is the transformation from the hard science to the consumer product and keeping America No. 1." The Inflation Reduction Act, which constitutes the single largest investment in transportation electrification in U.S. history.Rep. Haley Stevens, (D) Michigan said “Here we are today at ONE -- Our Next Energy -- the transformations, the new technologies and a piece of legislation that will allow us to compete with the world. Pelosi was joined by Reps. Haley Stevens and Debbie Dingell, both of whom represent Detroit-area districts and are champions of the domestic automotive industry.
