Pelosi salutes 19th Amendment on anniversary

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and fellow California Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier attended a roundtable discussion in San Francisco on reproductive health as women commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote.

Pelosi affirmed the impact the abortion ruling will have on the November midterm elections and highlighted Republicans' plans to put in place a national abortion ban. Earlier this month in red-state Kansas, voters rejected by nearly 20 percentage points a constitutional amendment that would have allowed the legislature to advance an abortion ban.
