Pelosi eyes upcoming WH conference on hunger

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. James McGovern, the co-chair of the House Hunger Caucus, held a roundtable with community leaders in San Francisco in advance of the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health.

The conference is expected to take place in September, with exact date still to be announced. According to the White House, the first and only White House Conference on Food, Nutrition, and Health was held in 1969. It also says there have been bipartisan calls in Washington for this year's conference.
