Peace Talks: SPTT meets UWSP, NDAA and SSPP delegations

State Peace Talks Team (SPTT) and the delegations of United Wa State Party (UWSP), National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA) and Shan State Progress Party (SSPP) held a meeting at Horizon Lake View Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by member of the State Administration Council (SAC), Union Minister at the Union Government Office, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peace Making Negociation Committee (NSPNC), SPTT Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Htun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein and committee members, as well as delegations led by UWSP Vice-Chair U Lau Yaku , NDAA Vice-Chair U San Pae, SSPP Vice-Chair (3) Sao Say Pai Pha .

During the meeting, Peace Talks team leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and UWSP Vice-Chair U Lau yaku extended greetings. Then, both sides mutually discussed the implementation of the points agreed upon in the previous discussion, the issue of holding the peace conference, regional development, and the matters EAO wish to discuss. They also discussed the drafts to reach agreements according to the discussions.  The 2nd day meeting will continue on 21st July.
