The State Peace Talks Team (SPTT) held separate meetings with the delegation of Democratic Karen Benevolent Army-DKBA led by Commander-in-Chief Saw Steel and the delegation of Karen National Liberation Army (Peace Council) KNU/KNLA (PC) Vice Chairperson Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo at the National Reconciliation and Peace Center in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.
They discussed matters on implementation of the agreements reached at the first round of peace talks, the additional facts to be added and regional development works.
It was followed by a 3rd day meeting of SPTT and the delegations of KNU/KNLA (PC) and DKBA. The meeting was attended by State Administration Council Member, National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Chairman, Union Minister at the Government Office Lt- Gen Yar Pyae in his capacity as the leader of SPTT, Council Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung, Commander-in-Chief of DKBA Saw Steel, Chief of Staff Saw Sein Win, Vice Chairperson of KNU/KNLA (PC) Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo and General Secretary Saw Kyaw Nyunt.
The meeting signed the agreements reached during the 3-day meeting.
