Peace and Development: SAC Chairman receives ASEAN Special Envoy

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar Mr. Alounkeo Kittikhoun at the State Administration Council Office in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

During the courtesy call, they cordially discussed matters on progress of friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Laos, taking responsibility of State duties due to the Electoral Frauds in 2020 Multi-party Democracy General Election, the challenges posed by political issues leading to armed conflicts rather than dialogue, efforts towards national peace and reconciliation, Tatmadaw’s commitment for multi-party democracy system, implementation of the Five-Point Road Map aimed at achieving stability, peace, and development, adoption of political and national goals and collaboration for humanitarian assistance.

They also exchanged views on future priority plans in alignment with the 2024 ASEAN Chairmanship and the implementation processes following the 5-point consensus of ASEAN.
