Paying tribute to martyrs: SAC members laid wreaths to pay tribute to martyrs

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San paid tribute to the martyrs at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum in Bahan Township of Yangon Region at the 76th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day in the morning on 19th July.

The The SAC member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San, SAC members Mann Nyein Maung and Dr. Hmu Htan, Chairman of 76th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day Organizing Committee Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Maung Maung Aye laid wreaths of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to pay tribute to late General Aung San and martyrs.

Meanwhile, the Flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was lowered to half-mast. The Guard of Honour presented arms and the military bugle sounded the last post, and then they observed a two-minute silence.

Families of the martyrs and representatives laid wreaths at the mausoleum and paid their tribute. Representatives from the Yangon Region government led by the Chief Minister, those from political parties, heads of foreign missions to Myanmar and Charges d’ Affaires of foreign embassies laid wreaths in front of the monument.

Representatives from various organizations and associations laid wreaths to pay tribute at the mausoleum of General Aung San and fallen leaders. Likewise, people also paid tribute to the martyrs at the mausoleum.
