Paying Homage: SAC Chairman paid homage to BamawSayadaw

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife visited Mandalay General Hospital on Saturday.

They paid homage to Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Sayadaw of Bamaw Monastery BhaddantaKumarabhivamsa who is hospitalizing there for medical treatment.

The Prime Minister asked after the treatment condition and arrangements for meals to the Medical Superintendent and officials and fulfilled the needs.

He later submitted the religious matters to the Sayadaw including construction progress of Maravijaya Buddha Image and pilgrimage tour of members of the Sangha led by the Sayadaws of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee from all across the country.

He added that Maravijaya Buddha Image has been established with 4 objectives, to show the firm flourishing of Theravada Buddhism of Myanmar to the world, to become Myanmar the center of Theravada Buddhism, to ensure peace and tranquility in the State and to bring peace and prosperity to the world.

He also submitted that plans are being to organize the Buddha Day celebrations on the Full Moon Day of Kason as a state level occasion.

The Prime Minister and wife later donated medicines, nutrition foods and cash donations to the Sayadaw, and listened to the sermons delivered by the Sayadaw. He then asked after the health condition of Sayadaw to the Medical Superintendent and Specialists, and attended to the needs.
