Paying homage to His Holiness SAC Chairman paid homage to Cambodia Sangharajah

The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by members, in the evening on Tuesday, paid homage to His Holiness Samdech Preah Abhisiri Sugandha Mohasangharajah Dhipadi Dr. Bour Kry, one of the most venerable Sayadaws of Cambodia, who is currently on a pilgrimage to Myanmar and temporarily residing at the KMA Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw, along with a delegation of monks.

First, the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister and members paid homage to the His Holiness of Cambodia and accompanying monks. Following this, the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister discussed matters related to the propagation of Buddhism, the establishment and veneration of Maravijaya Buddha Image, and expressed that this visit would further strengthen the friendship between the two countries and enhance collaboration on religious matters. His Holiness of Cambodia expressed his joy at being received by the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister during his pilgrimage to Myanmar. He noted that both Myanmar and Cambodia share the Theravada Buddhist tradition and have inseparable cultural ties.

He also expressed pride in the fact that international monks come to study at Buddhist universities in Myanmar. Additionally, he conveyed his delight at the establishment of the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the tallest seating Marble Buddha Image in the world. He offered prayers for the health and well-being of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister, and all the people of Myanmar, wishing for peace, stability, and prosperity in the country. He also sent his blessings and loving-kindness to Myanmar.

Subsequently, the SAC Chairman presented a replica of the Maravijaya Buddha Image and offerings to His Holiness. In return, His Holiness presented a Buddha image and Dhamma gifts to the SAC Chairman. After that, His Holiness and the SAC Chairman took commemorative photos together.
