














The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, entourage, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, Commanders of Yangon Command, Southern Command paid homage to the ancient pagodas in Bago Township in the morning on 22nd May.
First, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and entourage viewed the renovation works of over 1,000 years old ancient historic Kyaik Pyinyaya pagoda situated near Bago University in Otthar Myo Thit of Bago Township and offered the flowers, water and oil lamp to the pagoda.
Next, the SAC Chairman and wife offered cash donation for the all-round renovations of the pagoda and the Bago Region Chief Minister accepted the donation.
Then, the Prime Minister heard the clarifications on the status of completing renovations and the works to be done and gave necessary instructions.
Afterward, the SAC Chairman and entourage paid homage to the tooth relic enshrined Maha Ceti pagoda which is the donation of King Bayintnaung and offered flowers, water and oil lamp. Then, the cash donation for the all-round renovation works of the pagoda was offered and accepted by the pagoda board of trustee and presented Dhamm gifts. The Prime Minister signed on the guest book of the pagoda.
After paying homage to the pagoda in clockwise direction and the responsible officials were given necessary instructions.
Next, the SAC Chairman and entourage paid homage to the Shwe Thar Lyaung Buddha Image, offered flowers, water and oil lamp, cash donation and signed on the guest book of the Buddha image.
After paying homage to the Buddha image in clockwise direction and the necessary instructions were given to the responsible officials.
Next, the SAC Chairman viewed the shop stalls of religious items and traditional handicrafts.
When arriving at the Shwe Maw Daw pagoda, the Prime Minister and party paid homage to the pagoda and offered flowers, water and oil lamp, cash donation and signed on the guest book of the Buddha image.
Then, the Prime Minister paid homage to the Hsu Taung Pyae Beeluu Yan Naing Buddha image resided at the upper terrace of the pagoda.
Afterward, the Prime Minister viewed the ancient works of Buddha images, jewelries and personal items displayed at the Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda Historical Museum and instructed to preserve the ancient works systematically.
Then, the SAC Chairman and party visited Kanbawzathardi Palace viewed round the display of teakwood pillars excavated from the site of old royal audience hall, renovation works of the palace, displaying personel items used by the ancient kings in the palace museum, the ancient Buddha images and antiquities displaying in the Hanthawady archeological museum and the exhibitions in Bamarathana throne hall and the responsible officials clarified necessary matters.
After giving necessary instructions to the responsible officials, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister signed on the guest book of the Kanbawzathardi Palace.
