Paying courtesy call: UNICEF delegation paid a courtesy call to MoH UM

The Deputy Executive Director, Humanitarian Action and Supply Operations of UNICEF Headquarters, Mr. Edward Chaker Chaiban and his team paid a courtesy call to the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win at the Reception Hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 12th November.

During the meeting, they discussed areas for increased collaboration in healthcare, expanded vaccination programs, and nutrition development initiatives that the Ministry and UNICEF are working on together. They also exchanged views on ongoing joint efforts, including the Oral Cholera Vaccine (OCV) campaign to prevent cholera. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister for Health, Directors-General, representatives from UNICEF Myanmar, and responsible officials from the Ministry of Health.
