Paying Courtesy Call: Delegation leaders paid courtesy call to SAC Chairman

The leaders of the delegations attended the 42nd ASEAN Chiefs of Police Conference (ASEANAPOL) hosted by Myanmar and the representatives led by the Executive Director of ASEANAPOL secretariat paid a courtesy call to the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the Credential Hall of the SAC Chairman’s office in Nay Pyi Taw on 24th October.

Also present at the call were the SAC Joint-Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Council member Lt-Gen. Yar Pyae, Chief of Myanmar Police Force Police Lt-Gen. Win Zaw Moe, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chief of Police Forces, High Ranking Police Officials attended the 42nd ASEAN Chiefs of Police Conference (ASEANAPOL) from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam and Executive Director of ASEANAPOL secretariat.

In his words of greeting, the SAC Chairman said that the police force is an institution which is primarily responsible for the internal security and its role is greatly ample and crucial. It’s needed to crack down the transborder crimes collectively with the collaboration among the ASEAN nations, with the collaboration of the Police Forces as per the country, the drug trafficking, arms smuggling, online scams will be enabled to deter and suppress effectively, all are thankful for attending the 42nd ASEAN Chiefs of Police Conference (ASEANAPOL) hosted by Myanmar.

Next, the Chief of Myanmar Police Force clarified regarding with holding ASEAN Chiefs of Police Conference (ASEANAPOL), objectives and the status of holding 42nd ASEAN Chiefs of Police Conference hosted by Myanmar.

Then, leaders of the delegations from ASEAN countries and Executive Director of ASEANAPOL secretariat introduced individually and stated the status of hospitable arrangement of Myanmar during the period of holding 42nd ASEAN Chiefs of Police Conference, and cooperation of ASEAN Police Forces in the training sector and collective effort for prevention and cracking down the transborder crimes.
