Paying Buddha Image: Award winner authors paid homage to Maravijaya

The distinguished authors who are award winners in the National Lifetime Award for Literary Achievement, National Literature Award and Sarpay Beikman Manuscript Contest in the 75th Anniversary Diamon Jubilee National Literary Awards Ceremony for 2023, visited the Maravijaya Buddha Image which is the Largest Sitting marble Buddha Image in the world among its kind at the Buddha Park in Dakkhinathiri Township, Naypyidaw on 2nd December.

During the visit, a responsible official explained the significance and veneration of the Mara Vijaya Buddha Statue. Following this, the authors made charitable donations. They then toured and admired various religious structures, including the Gandhakuti or perfume chambers, the Aggadhipati Sasana Beikman Grand Hall, the stone inscriptions stupas, the Mucalinda Lake, and other notable religious sites in the vicinity of the Buddha Park.
