Pauk-Phaw Friendship: 70th Anniversary Of Founding PRC Held In Yangon

The commemoration ceremony of 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) was held on Thursday evening at Whyndam Grand Hotel in Yangon.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and wife, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Chen Hai, high-level officials and many other invited guests observed the wonderful performances and graced the ceremony.

In his remarks, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar said that China is willing to continue for strong friendships, development projects and cooperative relations to Myanmar.

Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Mr. Chen Hai said “Connected by mountains and rivers, China and Myanmar enjoy deep Pauk-Phaw friendship and are a community of shared future. China is willing to continue to develop friendly and cooperative relations with Myanmar on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and help Myanmar realize internal peace, national reconciliation and development.”

Along with the bringing tangible benefits for the peoples of both countries, China and Myanmar are jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative and China-Myanmar Economic Corridor in cooperation with education, healthcare, disaster relief and many other areas.

Yangon Region Chief Minister, U Phyo Min Thein said “Myanmar is also implementing One Belt and One Road Initiative by discussing and exchanging the interactive ideas of the leaders between the two entities. Recently, we’ve started cooperating with China in twelve sectors led by State Counselor. Also, I hope to create a better future for China-Myanmar Friendship.”

Likewise, Next year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar.
