Passing-Out Parade: Passing-Out Parade of 24thIntake of DSMA took place

The Passing-Out Parade of the 24th Intake of the Defence Services Medical Academy took place at the parade ground of DSMA in Yangon in the morning on December 18th, with an address by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu, Thadoe Thirithudhamma  Min Aung Hlaing.

Also present at the ceremony together with the Senior General were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Zeyya Kyaw Htin Sithu  Moe Aung and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Zeya Kyaw Htin Sithu Tun Aung and wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, Union ministers, the chief minister of Yangon Region, Commander of Yangon Command, Yangon mayor, commandant of DSMA, officials, officer instructors from studies and training departments of the academy as well as parents and guardians of cadets, and guests.

First, the Senior General took the salute of the cadet battalions and inspected the graduate cadet company. Cadet companies saluted the Senior General with slow-march past and quick-march past.

The Senior General presented the Best Cadet Award to Cadet Aung Kyaw Min, the Excellent Award in Training to cadet Saw Pyae Aung and the Excellent Award in Studies to cadet Naing Ye Hla.

Next, Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu, Thadoe Thirithudhamma Min Aung Hlaing delivered a graduation speech.

In his graduation speech, the Senior General said that The Defence Services Medical Academy was established with the objectives of turning out the medical science military officer who are endowed with the physical and spiritual strength, it’s appreciated and honorable to see they are serving the healthcare Services of the country and the Tatmadaw as well as the assigned duties.

As the Tatmadaw is always ready whenever the country encountered the natural disasters, the military medical officers and the personnel of medical service units were involved actively in front line in the rescue and rehabilitation efforts for the people who were affected by the Mocha Cyclonic Storm.

The second social objective is “to enhance health and sports sectors inclusive of all the people to enhance the longevity and health of the entire nation with the plans to improve the standard of sports” and the government is implementing to to enhance the longevity and health of the entire nation.

And the Senior General called for applying the medical science knowledge and skills given by the Defense Service Medical Academy in the healthcare for the Tatmadawmen and the family members, dissemination of health knowledge and the medical service etc.

The Senior General left the parade ground after taking to the salute of the cadet companies. After the parade, the Senior General received outstanding cadets at the parlour of DSMA and spoke words of honour.
