Passing Out Parade: Navy Junior Officer Management and Engineering Courses

Passing Out Parade for 84th Intake of Defence Services (Navy) Junior Officer (Management) Course and 58th Intake of Defence Services (Navy) Junior Officer (Engineering) Course was held at the Parade Ground of Naval Training Command Headquarters in Thanlyin on Thursday.

Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win attended the parade on behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services. The Admiral took the salute of the graduation columns and honouring columns before inspecting them.

This was followed by marching past of the graduation columns and honouring columns while the Naval vessels paid tribute to the Admiral in formation. Then, the awards were presented to the best trainees and excellence in literatures at both training courses.

In his graduation speech, the Admiral emphasized the need to make further study for capacity development, and urged all to strive for keeping abreast with the changing trend of age. After the parade, the Admiral met with the outstanding trainees and their parents and expressed of words of honour.

At night, a dinner reception was held in honour of the graduation. The Admiral and senior military officers attended the reception where the artists from the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare and Naval Music Band entertained with songs and dances.
