Party application rejected: UEC rejected application of Arakan National Party

The Union Election Commission issued a press statement on the party registration on 1st of July, 2024.

At the statement, it’s described that according to the replies of the relevant ministries after scrutinizing application of Arakan National Party, it was found not to comply with the provisions of Section-7 of political parties’ registration law and the Union Election Commission rejected its application for the continued establishment of a political party with the form-G of political parties’ registration by-law on 1st of July, 2024 under the decision of the UEC preliminery  meeting (11/2024) and the remaining groups are also under scrutinization, the UEC stated.
