Party application denied: UEC denied application of Democracy Party

Those who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they want to establish.

To date, there have been 15 groups that have applied for the right to establish parties. Among the groups that applied, 12 parties have been approved to establish as potilical parties and one party was denied.

Out of 2 groups that remained to approve the establishment of political parties, according to the replies of the relevant ministries after scrutinizing application of Democracy Party, it was found not to comply with the provisions of Section-4 of political parties’ registration law and the Union Election Commission denied its application for the establishment of a political party with the form-C of political parties’ registration by-law on 7th of May, 2024 and the remaining group is also under scrutinization, the UEC stated.
