Parts of UK face water restrictions amid heatwave

Several UK water companies were considering implementing water restrictions, such as hosepipe bans, as weather officials issued a heat warning for extreme temperatures this week.

The British national weather service has forecast highs of up to 36 degrees Celsius in some areas. Amid the weather warnings, the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology has also said that river flows will continue being low across central, eastern and southern England until later in the year.
