






Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan met Wushu athletes who are camping in the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) to participate in the Asian Games on Wednesday.
At the meeting, the Union Minister called for competing with good qualification and taking pride for the nation through sports. He also said that the athletes will gain good experiences as they will compete with good opponents and urged them to try the best in the competitions.
The Union Minister then met the athletes who are camping in the Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation on Inya Road and called for trying their best to achieve the same successes as they have achieved in the past.
Myanmar sports contingent will compete in the Men and Women football tournaments, rowing, Sepak Takraw, Taekwondo, Wushu, Archery and E-Sports games in the 19th Asian Games that will be held from 23rd to 8th October in Hangzhou, China.
In the evening of that day, the Union Minister attended a ceremony to mark Constitution Day and National Day of Nepal at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Yangon. At the event, Nepalese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Harishchandra Ghimire extended greetings and the ceremony was opened with the National Anthems of Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Nepal and the traditional dances of Nepal were also staged at the event.
