Parliament introduces Housing Committee

The Parliament of the Maldives has introduced a committee dedicated for housing, increasing the number of permanent parliamentary committees to 19. The new parliamentary committee was established to study housing issues and identify changes to housing legislative policies and submit them to Parliament.

The committee was formed with 11 members, including the president and the vice-president. Parliamentary Group Leader of the main ruling People’s National Congress Parliamentarian Ibrahim Falah was elected as the president of the committee and Parliamentarian Hussain Imran Latheef was elected as the vice-president of the committee.
