Paris attacker convicted in 2016 for planning another attack

The attacker of a knife attack that one person dead and two injured in Paris on Saturday evening had already been sentenced in 2016 to "four years in prison" for planning another attack, French Interior Minister said. 

The attacker shouted “God is greatest" before being arrested, the police said. The attacker has mental illness, a police said. The Paris prosecutor's office said the attacker is French, was born in 1997 and has been arrested in an investigation into murder and attempted murder.
