Paper Reading Session: 555th Birthday Anniversary of Literati Shin Maha Rahtasara

The Paper Reading session in commemoration of the 555th birthday anniversary of Literati Shin Maha Rahtasara took place at the Myanmar International Convention Center-2 (MICC-2) in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday, with the attendance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. Four papers relating to Shin Maha Rahtasara were read out by the resource persons. Documentary records and photos of Shin Maha Rahtasara, his literature and treatises, rival literati, and the articles written in honor of Shin Maha Rahtasara were also displayed at the event.

In honor of the life history of Shin Maha Rahtasara, a musical drama titled “Kyayzu Thitsar Pan Alinkar” was staged during the paper reading session. Throughout the history of Myanmar literature, many literati have emerged as exemplars for society, valuing their literature to this day.

Among them are members of the Sangha. Shin Maha Rahtasara is a prominent literato who emerged during the Innwa Era, and his literature is invaluable to Myanmar literature.
