Panama to ask Macron for help getting off tax haven blacklists

Panama's president, José RaúlMulino, announced that he will visit French President Emmanuel Macron on 21 October to ask for help in getting his country off the blacklist of tax havens.

Panama has been placed on several blacklists of tax havens, including one by the European Union, and the country's image was severely questioned in 2016 due to the ‘Panama Papers’ scandal.
