Dozens of Christian Palestinians gathered for a mass in Gaza City on Saturday to mark the Orthodox Christmas. Among its 2.3 million Muslim residents, Gaza now posts a tiny Christian population of around 1,000.
The majority of them follow the Greek Orthodox Church that celebrates Christmas on Jan. 07 of the Julian calendar. The faithful gathered at the Church of Saint Porphyrius, one of the oldest Christian worship houses in the coastal enclave.
