Palestinian president in Madrid to thank Spain for support

President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Madrid on Thursday.

The President discussed with Sanchez strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in all fields, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. Abbas is stopping in Madrid at Spain's invitation before heading to New York for the United Nations General Assembly, according to an official in his office.
