Two separate bus accidents in Pakistan have claimed at least 35 lives. Authorities said 25 people were killed after a bus fell into a ravine from a bridge in the suburbs of the Pakistan capital of Islamabad on Sunday morning. The bus was reportedly heading to Rawalpindi in the central province of Punjab. Local authorities suspect the accident was caused by brake failure.

Also on Sunday, another bus carrying pilgrims returning from Iran to Punjab province fell onto a slope from a highway in the southwestern province of Balochistan. Local police said 10 passengers were killed and 30 injured. They suspect the driver was going too fast and lost control of the vehicle.
