Paid homage to the historic pagoda: SAC Chairman paid homage to KakkuPagodas

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min AungHlaing and Wife together with the State Administration Council Members, Union Ministers, and Shan State Chief Minister , Senior Military Officers and their wives, Commander of Eastern Command and other officials paid homage to ancient historic Mwedaw Kakku Pagoda in TaungGyi Township, Shan State (South) on Tuesdays morning.

First, the Senior General and party paid homage to the ancient Buddha image in the northern prayer hall and offered flowers, water, candle lights and fruits to the Buddha image. Then, the Senior General and wife presented cash donations for all-round renovations of the pagoda and were accepted by chairman of the pagoda board of trustees U Khon Kyaw San and members.

Afterwards, the Senior General and party went round the pagoda clockwise and cordially greeted local pilgrims. The Senior General also gave necessary instructions to the officials to maintain the pagoda for long term sustainability and clean and green environment at the precinct of the pagoda. SAC Chairman Prime Minister and party paid homage to the Shwe Phone Pwint Pagoda in TaungGyi Township on Monday evening.

First, the Senior General and party were welcomed by the chairman of pagoda board of trustees U Win Aung and members. Then, they paid homage to the pagoda and offered flowers, water and oil lamp to the pagoda and went round the pagoda in clockwise direction. The Senior General and party looked at the beauty scene of Taung Gyi through the scenic view point and gave directives to responsible personnel to maintain the natural resources and maintain for the perpetuation of  the pagoda.  Afterwards, the Senior General and wife presented cash donations for all round renovation of the pagoda to the chairman and members of the board of trustees.
