Pagoda Digital Directory: Inauguration ceremony held at Botahtaung Pagoda

The Pagoda Digital Directory of Botahtaung Kyaikdayat Hair Relic Pagoda was opened at the Saturday Cornor of Pagoda platform on February 15th.

After the ceremony was inaugurated with three times recitation of Namotasa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin made an explanation on the implementation of Pagoda Digital Directory at the prominent pagodas and temples across Regions and States.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein expressed words of thanks to those who contributed to the installation of Pagoda Digital Directory, and the member of Botahtaung Pagoda Board of trustees explained the work processes.

This was followed by inauguration of the ceremony by cutting the ribbon. Then, the Union Minister and Region Chief Minister pressed the button to open the station of Pagoda Digital Directory. Under the Guidance of the Head of the state, installation of the Pagoda Digital Directory was initiated at the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, aiming to provide historical information and directory of the famous pagodas in various states and regions of Myanmar.

The Universities of Computer Studies and Technological Universities from the respective regions and states also collaborate in this initiative, which aims to provide true history of these religious edifices to the youth who will take responsibilities of the nation in the future.
