Overseas Employment: MOEAA’s 11th Annual General Meeting

Myanmar Overseas Employment Agency Association (MOEAA) held its 11th Annual General Meeting in Yangon on Sunday.

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung attended occasion and made a speech, emphasizing the needs for MOEAA and its member agencies, under the Ministry's supervision, to actively participate in the systematic registration of individuals seeking employment abroad.

The Union Minister pointed out the Ministry’s mandate, mentioning that agencies must not charge more than the established service fees when sending workers abroad. The Union Minister urged MOEAA to comply with the laws, orders, directives, and regulations set by the department in executing labor dispatch processes, including systematic dispatch of workers, assisting the workers sent, and promptly addressing any issues they encounter in their respective countries, in addition to facilitating their rights and benefits as per the relevant country's labor laws.

During the meeting, the agencies provided update reports on their operations, and the Union Minister coordinated the needs.
