Outstanding Students: 10th Thutasonline Buddhawin Exam held in Yangon

The 10th Myanmar Thutasoneline Buddhawin Competition Grand Finale has conducted at the National Theatre Yangon in the morning on 25th May, 2023. 

Aiming for the young students to become more interested in Buddhawin (Life story of the Buddha) preserving religious teachings, the grand scale event for middle school level is annually organized by Myanmar ThutasonelinBuddhawin  Association (Central). 

Chairman Sayadaw, Thutasoneline Buddhawin Association-Central, Dr. Baddanta Pandita said "Students from the exam centers across the county sat for the entrance exam virtually, and 42 listed ones were invited to our central association and camped for 7 days. We lectured 8 Books of 6-Volume on Buddhawin and general knowledge on Sasana affairs. Today is the grand final competition for middle school level which has the most mentioned Buddawin books to study. Maha Buddhawin 6-Volume 8 Books are written by Mingun Sayadaw Phayagyi published by government which is the one that all Buddhists need to study and know.  "

For the grand final level, 6 students outstandingly turned out and they continuously competed in four different rounds competitively. The winner will have to take part Play or Stay program for winning 12 million kyats prize. Likewise, the competition divides 3 categories: primary level, middle school level and Diploma while entrance exams held virtually.

Yoon Nadi Aung, Diploma Level said "In my school holidays, I want to try Thutasonelin exam as it approaches our Buddha’s life stories and teachings. For me, I went diploma level exam studying one thousand questions from Buddhawin 6-volume 8 books. As it being my first time, I got many knowledge about Buddhawin and every Buddhists are needed to learn more about it, it’s worthy and effective."

The Speaking and Written test, Timing Q/A, Reciting from Memory Test are included for the middle school level competition. The prize awarding and graduation ceremony for the title and prize recipients from all levels of the competition will be conducted in the evening on that day.
