Outstanding Futsal Players: Awarding ceremony of 2023 Futsal Tournament held

The final match and awarding ceremony of 2023 State and Regional Futsal Tournament was held at the Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

The ceremony were attended by members of the State Administration Council U Wunna Maung Lwin, Daw Dwe Bu, Dr.Hmu Htan, U Maung Ko, Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, Dr. Kyaw Tun, Khun San Lwin, U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, departmental officials, supervisors and coaches from participating teams, athletes, and staff families of the Ministries and enthusiasts.

In the final match, Mandalay Region team beat the Shan State Team 4:2. It was followed by awarding ceremony and Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than presented the best female goal player and the best female player wards to the athletes from Shan State team in the Women Futsal competition. 

Then, members of the State Administration Council Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, Khun San Lwin and Dr. Kyaw Tun presented medals and cash awards to 3rd, 2nd and 1st winning teams in the competition and Daw Dwe Bu presented the championship trophy to the 1st winning Shan State team. Similarly, Minister for Electric Power U Thaun Han presented the best male goal player award to the athlete from Shan State team and the best male player award to the Yangon Region team in the Men Futsal competition.

Afterwards, the member of the State Administration Council U Shwe Kyein, Dr. Hmu Htan and U Maung Ko presented medals and cash awards to the 3rd, 2nd and 1st winning teams in the men competitions, and U Wunna Maung Lwin presented the championship trophy to the 1st winning Mandalay Region team.

The 2023 State and Region Futsal Tournament took place from 24th to 31st July and a total of 350 athletes from15 Men teams and 11 women teams participated in the tournament.
