

Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) will select the outstanding drivers from YBS bus service operating in Yangon and will present awards to them for their excellent efforts.
YRTC will award 300,000 kyats to each outstanding driver, totaling 60 drivers and also present certificates of honour. YRTC will select 3 drivers from each well-disciplined YBS bus line company. They will also present good moral award to the drivers who have good behavior and character such as returning the lost items and cash to the passengers, according to member of YRTC.
KhinMaungHtwe, Member, YRTC said “We will honor and reward to the drivers who are excellent in following the traffic rules and giving good services from all YBS bus lines. Because the driver has responsibility for the safety of the passengers. If drivers recklessly, passengers can injured. If the drivers drive with anger, it can be happened traffic accidents. That’s why, we open monthly courses and give lectures about traffic rules and regulations for road safety. We will award to a total of 60 drivers who have worked hard and served dutifully their duties all the year round.”
YRTC said the program aims to inspire young drivers, to improve their life and to recognize their endeavours. The awarding ceremony will be held on 26th August at the YRTC office.
