Ordinance No.6/2026 : Substitution of the Union Minister for Home Affairs

President's Office issued an Ordinance No.6/2026 on September 17, regarding the substitution of the Union Minister.

According to Section 212a and b, Section 232b(3) of the Constitution, and Section 12a(3) of the Union Government Law, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Nyunt Win Swe was reassigned to the original military duties. General Ko Ko Oo of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office was appointed as the Union Minister for Home Affairs. The Ordinance was signed by U Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
