Orders of pardon: Remission on Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Win Myint

The State Administration Council issued order no (48), (49), (50), (51), (52), (53) and (54) on the full moon day of Waso, 1385 ME (1st August, 2023).

With Order No (48), the Chairman of the State Administration Council granted remission of prison terms to be served by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi under the Criminal Code Nos. 35, 37, 71, 38 and 45 given verdict by the relevant courts, with Order No (49), U Win Myint was granted remission of prison terms to be served under the Criminal Code Nos.

35/2021 and 36/2021 given verdict by the relevant courts, with Order No (50), the SAC Chairman has commuted the death sentence of prisoners to life imprisonment, with Order No (51), he has granted pardons to 7,749 male and female prisoners who are serving prison sentences at their respective prisons, jails and camps, with Order No (52) he has granted pardons to the 22 members of ethnic armed organizations who are serving prison sentences at their respective prisons, jails and camps, with Order No (53) he has remitted the punishment of 125 foreign prisoners from respective prisons and jails,  with Order No (54) State Administration Council Chairman has permitted to withdraw the cases opened against the 72 EAOs affiliated persons under the trial at each respective courts.
