Order No.61/2023: Reformation of the Union Government

The State Administration Council issued Order No.61/2023 on Thursday concerning the reformation of the Union Government. According to Section 419 of the Constitution, the Union Government was reformed in order to implement the 5-point Road Map and 12 objectives effectively.

According to the order, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing will act as the Prime Minister, Vice Senior General Soe Win as the Deputy Prime Minister, Admiral Tin Aung San as the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence, General Mya Tun Oo as the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications, U Win Shein as the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance, U Than Swe as the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lt-Gen Yar Pyae as the Union Minister for Home Affairs, Lt-Gen Soe Htut as the Union Minister at the Union Government Office (1), U KoKoHlaing as the Union Minister for Union Government Office (2), Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung as the Union Minister for Border Affairs, DrKanZaw as the Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Dr Thida Oo as the Union Minister for Legal Affairs, U Maung Maung Ohn as the Union Minister for Information, U Tin Oo Lwin as the Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, U Min Naung as the Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, U Hla Moe as the Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development, U Khin Maung Yi as the Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Nyan Tun as the Union Minister for Electricity, U Ko Ko Lwin as the Union Minister for Energy, Dr Charlie Than as the Union Minister for Industry, U Myint Kyaing as the Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Naung as the Union Minister for Labour, U Aung Naing Oo as the Union Minister for Commerce, Dr Nyunt Pe as the Union Minister for Education, Dr Myo Thein Kyaw as the Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Thet Khaing Win as the Union Minister for Health, U Min Thein Zan as the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, U Myo Thant as the Union Minister for Construction, Dr Soe Win as the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Dr Thet Thet Khaing as the Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung as the Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs, and U Zaw Than Thin as the Permanent Secretary of the Union Government Office.
