Order No.32/2023: 38 prisoners commuted to life imprisonment

38 prisoners at respective prisons have been released from death sentence and commuted to life imprisonment, according to order No. 32/2023, issued by the State Administration Council on Wednesday.

The Chairman of the State Administration Council granted reducing penalties as a gesture for the Full Moon Day of Kason the ‘Buddha Day’ according to the Section 204, Sub-Section (a) of the State Constitution. The Order was signed by Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe.
