Opening of volleyball competition: MoIP Union Minister opened the competition

The opening ceremony of the Ministry of Immigration and Population Union Minister’s Trophy men volleyball competition was held at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Naypyidaw in the morning on September 9 and attended by Union Minister U Myint Kyaing, Deputy Minister U Htay Hlaing, permanent secretary and Directors General, Deputy Directors General, officials and staff from the ministry, as well as the participating volleyball teams.

Speaking on the occasion, the organizing of the ministry's men volleyball competition aims to ensure that all staff members remain healthy, happy, and closely bonded. It encourages teams to compete with a spirit of sportsmanship and cooperation.

The goal is to enhance physical and mental resilience through sports activities, to develop a strong and capable volleyball team for the ministry, and to prepare it to represent the ministry in the national sports festival. The competition is organized with the intention of participating competitively in national-level sports festivals.  Everyone is urged to make every effort setting up a goal to be able to compete in the national level sports festival as a volleyball team represented the Ministry. The competition was then officially opened.

After that, the competing athletes recited the four principles of sportsmanship, and then the Union Minister and responsible officials warmly greeted and encouraged the athletes participating in the competition.

Subsequently, the Union Minister and attendees watched and supported the opening match where the Ministry office, the e-ID representative team, and the Mandalay Region representative team competed against each other.
