Opening training center building: SAC member opened training center building in Shan State

At the honoring the 77th Anniversary of Shan State Day which will fall on 7th February, the opening ceremony of Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center Building was held at the center in Kha Paung Yay Kyi Ward, Ayethaya Town in Taunggyi Township in the morning on 5th February with the attendance of SAC members Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan, Dr. Soe Win Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, representative of the People’s Republic of China, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Dr. Zheng Zhihong, Deputy Ministers, Vice Chairman ofthe Lancang-Mekong Cooperation National Coordination Unit (Myanmar) and officials.

First, SAC members, Union Minister, Shan State Chief Minister, representative of the People’s Republic of China opened the Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center Building by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and SAC members and representative of the People’s Republic of China sprinkled with the scented water and took the documentary group photo.

Then, the SAC members and guests sprinkled the inscription of Center’s main four-storey-building. At the second part of the ceremony, SAC member Dr. Ba Shwe gave an opening speech followed by the words of greeting of the Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung.

Next, Shan State Chief Minister and Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar gave the remark and Deputy Minister for Ethnic Affairs expressed words of thanks.Then, the Union Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung presented medals in commemoration of opening the training center and consultant Engineer U Ba Nyein from Moe Yan Wint Chi Company Limited which was responsible for the construction of the center building handed over the documents related to the center building to the Director General of the Ethnic Rights Protection department.

Afterward, the SAC members, Union Ministers and guests viewed round the dormitory, class rooms, workshops and dining room in the training center’s main four-storey building, cordially met with the instructors and trainees conducting short one month training of Motor Cycle Engine Repairing course from 5th February to 5th March, 2024 and coordinated requirements.
