Opening of Performing Arts Competition: Yangon Region CM attended and opened the competition

The opening ceremony of Yangon Region 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee of Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition was held at Myanmar Convention Center (MCC) in Mayangone Township of Yangon Region in the morning on September 8.

First, the faculty members and students from the National University of Arts and Culture performed with the song of honoring 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee of Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition.

Next, the Video record of District level competitions of Yangon Region was shown.

After that, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Region Minister for Social Affairs U Htay Aung, members of judges and Chairmen of District Administrative Bodies opened the competition by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

Then, the Patron of Organizing Committee for the competition, Region Chief Minister gave an opening remark urging the contestants, artistes and departmental officials for the collaboration until the end of the competition.

Next, the parallel dance of marionette and human duet, performing of dances and singing songs were performed and the Chief Minister and wife, Commander and wife, Region Ministers and wives awarded the cash of honor to the performing groups.

Then, the Chief Minister and wife and officials viewed and encouraged the contestants of performing arts competition and the members of judges and families of the contestants were cordially greeted, it’s reported.
