Opening of Military Training: YGN CM attended the ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 19th Peoples’ Military Service Training Course was held in the morning of November 17 at the local training school in the Gyoepyu area, Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region.

Attendees included Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Commander of Yangon Command Brigadier General Tun Tun Oo, members of region government, local training school officials, Commandant Brigadier General Myo Min Than, senior military officers, departmental officials, and administrative instructors.

First, the trainee companies gave salute to the commandant, followed by a salute to the national flag. The Commandant then delivered the opening speech for the training course.

Subsequently, Chief Minister U Soe Thein, gave a speech and warmly greeted the trainee companies. The Chief Minister also presented refreshments and cash of honor, which were accepted by the commandant,

In this training course, 462 trainees will be taught subjects including physical fitness, military tactics, small arms, military strategy, military engineering, military administration, and general subjects. The training will last for 10 weeks, it’s reported.
