Opening of military training: Yangon Region CM attended and provided cash of honor

The opening ceremony of the People’s Military Service Training Course No. 11 was held at the Local Military Training School in the Joephyu area of Taikkyi Township, Yangon Region on March 17. The event was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Ministers of the Region Government, the Local Military Training School Commandant Brigadier General Myo Min Than, Chief of staff of the Yangon Region command Colonel Thet Paing Zaw, senior military officers, relevant departmental officials, and administrative instructors.

Initially, the trainee companies paid salute to the school commandant, followed by saluting the national flag. The commandant then delivered the opening speech for the training course. Subsequently, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and the region government ministers warmly greeted the trainee companies. The Chief Minister presented food supplies and cash of honor, which were received by the school commandant.

The training course will include 438 trainees and cover subjects such as physical fitness, military parade, small arms training, military tactics, battlefield engineering, battlefield administration, and general subjects. The course is scheduled to last 10 weeks, during which these subjects will be taught, it’s reported.
