






Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, along with Region Government Ministers and departmental officials, attended the opening ceremony of the People’s Military Service Training Course (Batch No. 12) held at the No. 57 Naval Training Base in Thingan Aw Village, Kyunsu Township, on April 22.
The ceremony began with attendees giving salute to the national flag in the military parade ground, followed by an opening address by Colonel Kyaw Htet, the acting commander of the Tanintharyi Naval Base Headquarters. Next, Chief Minister U Myat Ko and officials warmly greeted and encouraged the trainees.
Later, in the training hall, Chief Minister U Myat Ko urged the trainees to learn diligently, cultivate good habits for their future, and become responsible citizens who can protect and safeguard the nation.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister presented financial support of 7.75 million Kyats and sports equipment for the 12th Batch of People’s Military Service trainees, which were received by responsible officials. Colonel Min Min Latt, the Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs, then delivered a speech regarding the training program.
After that, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Basic/Advanced Maritime Youth Training Course held at the Tanintharyi Naval Base Headquarters, where the Chief Minister provided financial support and learning materials for the trainees, which were received by the responsible personnel.
It is also reported that the Tanintharyi Region Government has granted 20 million Kyats (5 million Kyats per course) for a total of four training programs, including Basic/Advanced Maritime Youth Training Courses and Basic Aviation Youth Training Courses conducted within the region.
