





The opening ceremony of 6 months Auxiliary Midwife Training was held Dawei Township Hall in the morning on September 26.
In his opening speech, the Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko said that this training is auspicious and beneficial because the trainees of local residents will enable to care the expectant mothers, lactating mother and babies. The region government, with the aim at facilitating and caring especially the rural population, women and children, is opened this training of auxiliary midwives who are the volunteer healthcare personnel included 40 trainees each from Dawei District, Myeik District and Kawt Thoung District and provided food and accommodation, manual books for the trainees and other administrative and coordinated measures. The trainees are urged to attend the training to complete, to become skillful and competent midwives and to be able to care the local residents with the knowledge and skills gained from the training.
Next, the region medical service and public health head officer Dr. Aung Ngwe San clarified the purposes of opening auxiliary midwife training and the duties and functions of the auxiliary midwives. Then, the Chief Minister, Chief justice of region high court, region ministers, departmental officials and auxiliary midwife trainees took the documentary group photo.
