Opening of library: Bago Region CM opened the library

The opening ceremony of the newly constructed "Maw Kun Thit  " Library, built with a donation of 15 million kyats from the Myanmar Libraries Development Coordination Committee, was held in front of the library building on Market Road, Ward 13, Taungoo Township of Bago Region on Monday.

The ceremony began with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, members of the regional government, and officials cutting the ribbon to officially open the new library building. They then sprinkled scented water on the library's commemorative plaque.

Following this, books, reading materials, and donations were presented to the library. Attendees toured the library's interior displays and enjoyed a cultural performance by students, who sang the song "U Shwe Yoe and Daw Moe."

It was reported that local donors from Taungoo Township contributed essential items such as furniture, computer, chairs, electricity generator, and electronic equipment to support the library.
