Opening of legal training: Shan State CM attended and gave a speech

The opening ceremony of the Legal Education Instructor Training Course No. 3 took place at the No. 5 Basic Education High School in Taunggyi, Shan State on January 30, with the aim of enhancing the understanding of fundamental legal principles. The course was designed to prepare instructors to teach the legal knowledge to the basic education students.

During the opening ceremony, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung stated that as part of the efforts to spread legal knowledge, two previous courses, No. 1/2024 and No. 2/2024, had been conducted over 10-day periods with 216 teachers participating. He also mentioned that the Legal Education Instructor Training Course No. 3 would be held from January 30 to February 6, with 103 teachers attending. He expressed his pride in being able to offer such legal education training for teachers in Shan State, following the guidance of the Head of State. He emphasized that the expansion of legal knowledge through these courses would help spread legal education widely.

After that, the Shan State government presented a grant of 3 million kyats for the training course, which was received by the Director of the Department of Education and a law officer. Shan State Advocate General U Sai Kyaw Zan also gave speech of honour regarding the opening of the training course.

Following the ceremony, the Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted the teachers who would be participating in the training.
